Gabrielle (Gaby) Thompson, a Human Resources executive with 30 years of experience, brings an extensive and functionally broad HR background in both the financial and high tech industries. Gaby has held executive or senior leadership roles across the full spectrum of companies – start up, small, medium and large - leading and creating business-focused solutions and strategies.

Joining Cisco in February 2013, Gaby is the SVP of Human Resources with an emphasis on Acquisitions and Total Rewards.

Prior to joining Cisco Systems, Gaby was the Vice President Total Rewards for SuccessFactors, a company designing business execution cloud software solutions. She led key initiatives including the company’s first total rewards strategy and an inspirational and new performance management design, each to attract the entrepreneurial-minded talent and create the energy and passion for driving company growth and success.

Previously, Gaby was a member of the executive team and Vice President, Human Resources for Numonyx, a new flash memory company created through the joint venture of Intel Corporation and ST Microelectronics. With the executive team, Gaby defined and proliferated the Numonyx company culture, integrating leaders and employees from two strong but diverse company philosophies.

Prior to joining Numonyx, Gaby spent nearly fourteen years with Intel in a variety of primarily compensation and benefits roles, including Director Global Compensation and Benefits, and a brief stint as Director, Global Staffing Operations. While there, Gaby led an extensive study of compensation and benefits philosophy and program designs, ultimately implementing the most significant change in more than a decade to Intel’s compensation design.

Gaby earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics and holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College.

On a personal note, Gaby is married and has four children, enjoys family activities, wine-tasting and personal fitness.
